Forsaken Release Day Blitz

Forsaken
Daughters of the Sea-Book #1
By Kristen Day

Once you’ve been touched by darkness, it never leaves you…
Abandoned by her parents as an infant; seventeen year old Hannah spent her childhood wading through countless foster families until being adopted by the Whitmans three years ago.
Unfortunately, Atlanta’s high society wasn’t quite ready for Hannah…or the strange events that plague her.
Chilling visions of murder, unexplained hallucinations, and  dark, mysterious guy who haunts her nightmares all culminate to set in motion a journey of self-discovery that will challenge everything she’s ever believed; not to mention her sanity.
Sent to live at The House of Lorelei on Bald Head Island, NC for ‘kids like her’, Hannah quickly realizes things are not what they seem. Her fellow ‘disturbed’ teens are actually the descendants of mythical Sea Gods and Goddesses. And so is she.
But when Finn, the ghost from her dreams, appears in the flesh; her nightmares become reality and her dark visions begin coming true. Inexplicably drawn to him, she can’t deny the dangerous hold he has on her heart. The deadly secrets he harbors will ultimately test her courage and push the boundaries of her love.
She must decide if she is ready to embrace the ancient legend she is prophesied to be a part of. The fate of all the descendants will forever depend upon it.

This book is a fabulous addition to any young adult book shelf.  This IS book 2 in a series, I did not read book one until after this book, but it did not detract, so it is possible to read it without having read book 1.  That being said it would make far more sense if you read them in order!  I actually re-read this book after I read book 1 just so I could keep the story flowing.  And I enjoyed it just as much the second time I read it.

There are a few surprises that will grab you.  And it heads in a completely different direction than you would think it was going.  Although it can always spin back around I suppose.  But so far this series is keeping my interest.  I love the entire aspect of past lives and being reborn to find each other again and again.  I love the idea of loving someone so much that you keep coming back to earth and winding up together again.

Casse Narome has created a world which will suck you in and not let you go. There is a bit of violence in the book so if you are against violence then I just wanted to let you know that there is a touch of it here.  Not an overwhelming amount and it isn't something that will make you squirm.  All in all this is a well written story and I for one will continue on the story as I have access to the books.

Details/Disclaimer: Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Author Bio-
Casse Narome is the alter-ego of a self-proclaimed awesome weirdo who spent her childhood reading and daydreaming. As an adult that is also how she spends her time only now she writes her daydreams down for everyone to read. Casse is never serious, has been accused of wishing her life was a sitcom, laugh track and all, has a bad habit of talking out loud to herself and she is fine with being a little insane. She spends way too much time online, too much money buying books and laughing at her own jokes. You will find her on Twitter being very random and spewing her opinions. When you see her online, tell her to get back to her writing! Or just engage her in a hilarious random conversation. She blogs book reviews and the adventures of being a writer at

Special Review of the Frost SERIES!

Before I begin I just want to take a moment to let you know how I personally write my reviews.  I use a special tool while writing my reviews.  But not only that I use it in any of my writings.  It works on Facebook as well so you can do away with those tiresome grammar nazi's who correct you when they disagree with what you've written.  The fabulous program:

I use Grammarly's online plagiarism checker, because I need to be sure I don't spoil the book for you by being a copy cat in my review, and I truly hate spoilers!

Today I have a little something special.  I have a double review for you.  I was given the first two books in the Frost Series, written by Liz DeJesus.  And I can honestly say that if you have children who love fairytales this is the book for them or for YOU!  This book is not strictly for children.

I've taken the time to review each book individually, and I have provided you with the blurb and the cover photo to make it easy.  I've also given you the Kindle link to the book.  This way you can just hop on out and grab a copy for yourself or your loved ones.

I will give you a quick overview.  This series is fabulous.  It is an enjoying romp through fairytales, and so many interesting twists and turns.  You will love the story and will definitely want to continue on the series.

If that interests you then by all means read on... You carriage awaits...

I Zombie Review

So now Zombies are of course the hot topic right now.  What with The Walking Dead and World War Z.  But this book is NOT like any other zombie book or movie!

Zombies as we all know are supposed to be mindless eating machines.  But in this book what you get is something totally new and unique.

I've always believed that Zombies would one day happen due to a virus or plague, but I always pictured them more like this Author did, not mindless eating machines at all.  And I think that twist makes this book well worth the read.

If you love good clean books then this one is for you!  If you love Zombie books, this one is for you! If you love books with a touch of romance, and a touch of action, then this one is for you!

Jo Michaels has amazing ability when it comes to character creation and this book once again shows just how talented she truly is!  So what are you waiting for? Go grab a copy today!  Just click on the image below and it will take you to Amazon!

About the Author
Jo Michaels is a writer who's really had a taste of life. She's lived in Louisiana, Tennessee, and Georgia; but visited states from coast to coast. Michaels, a high-school dropout, put herself through college while her husband was deployed to Iraq and still managed to come out on the other side with all five of her children still breathing. On top of that wondrous feat, she managed to graduate Summa Cum Laude. After her fourteen year marriage ended cataclysmically, she took to the keys to fulfill her dream of becoming a writer. Using the degree she obtained in school, Jo set out with tools in her belt not many writers possess: a strong design eye, the skills necessary to format her books, and the ability to use her artistic talents to create stunning covers.

Now, Michaels writes full-time in her garage while imbibing copious amounts of coffee to keep her motor running from son up to son down (and daughter, too). Her inspiration for her books comes from relationships, life, friends, passion, and her own incredible imagination. A fight for achieving her dream (along with her super duper boyfriend) is what drags her out of bed every morning to do what she does best: spin tales laced with high-octane emotion for readers worldwide.
Jo has written many books, all of which are self-published.
